Hi! My name is Halle Treace, and I will be representing the amazing city of Jackson, Tennessee. I live in Collierville, Tennessee, and I just graduated from Collierville High School. I will be furthering my education at Samford University, studying biology. My plans are to go to graduate school, and to pursue a career in medical field as a physician’s assistant.
I am a 7 year vocal student of Mandi Thomas, and a former company dancer at Visions Academy Performing Arts. In high school, I also participated in musical theatre, where I received the honor of performing on the Orpheum Memphis stage twice at the High School Musical Theatre Awards (2018-2019). I have been in choir for seven years, and have been in the top ensembles all through high school. I have made the All-West-Tennessee-Regional chorus placing 9th (2016) and 14th (2019) chair. In 2019, I was a semi-finalist at the Mid-South Fair Talent Competition, and the overall preliminary winner in 2018. I love the arts, and love sharing my passion through music while i’m either dancing or singing.
My social impact initiative is Substance Abuse Prevention; Spreading awareness of the long and short term consequences you face when choosing to abuse harmful substances. My personal story has inspired me to speak up and make a difference, so those who are an addict, or those who are close to one know what comes next. You are not defined by someone else’s actions, you create your own destiny by making your own choices. 1/3 children live in a household with at least one parent that abuses drugs or alcohol. My plan is to break the silence for these children, and help them take a step towards a brighter future. If you are suffering from an addiction, know it’s not too late to seek help, but you must admit first that you want it.
