Autumn Jo Sanderson is a 26-year-old originally from central Illinois who now calls Nashville, Tennessee home. She is a graduate of Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville where she obtained her Bachelor of Science of Mass Communications and a Minor in Public Relations. In December 2021, she graduated from the University of Illinois with her Master of Science of Strategic Brand Communications. Today, she works in boutique marketing at Glitz Nashville, serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, and is signed with Bratty Model/Brave Talent LA. Her social impact initiative is NO MORE 1 in 4: Preventing Sexual Assault Through Confidence and Boundary Building which serves to children by introducing the concept of consent in a kid-friendly way and empower them to become strong, positive community members. While serving in the Miss America Organization, Autumn Jo has held the titles of Miss Prairie State, Miss Southern Illinois, and Miss Central Illinois. She is excited to tap her way to the Miss Tennessee stage this June as Miss Tennessee Waltz. Autumn Jo aspires to continue modeling/acting, someday teach advertising at the collegiate level, and soon launch her online boutique called “HER: Healed, Empowered, Restored,” with a percentage of profits benefiting survivors of sexual violence. In the future, she plans to serve as a Miss America Volunteer.
