Miss Tennessee 2026 Makalyn Heaslett
Makalyn Heaslett is the seventy-third Miss Tennessee. a resident of Nashville, Tennessee, she serves as an Account Executive with the Tennessee Titans while pursuing a Master of Sport Administration degree at Belmont University. Through the Miss America Opportunity, Makalyn has earned thousands of dollars in scholarship assistance while developing the leadership skills that have shaped her professional and personal journey.
For more than a decade, Makalyn has dedicated herself to serving girls and young women through her Community Service Initiative, “Be Bold, Brave & Brilliant.” Inspired by her own experiences as a mentor with Girls Inc., her initiative empowers young people to be bold in their beliefs, brave when facing opposition, and brilliant in their decisions. Since launching the initiative, she has helped raise more than $23,000 for Girls Inc. organizations across Alabama, Illinois, and Tennessee while creating mentorship opportunities, scholarship programs, and leadership development experiences for the next generation.
Her commitment to service has earned statewide recognition. In 2026, the City of Nashville officially proclaimed April 14 as “Be Bold, Brave & Brilliant Day” in honor of her work encouraging confidence, courage, and character in young people. Through partnerships with organizations including Girls Inc., The Store, Hands On Nashville, Dream Streets, the YWCA, and numerous community partners, Makalyn has dedicated countless hours to serving families and strengthening communities throughout Middle Tennessee.
A graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Public Relations, Makalyn has built a career in professional sports, previously working for the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox before joining the Tennessee Titans. Her passion for sports, community engagement, and leadership has fueled her dream of one day leading community impact initiatives for a professional sports organization.
As a performer, Makalyn has spent her life on stage. She began tap dancing at the age of two and has continued performing despite being diagnosed with scoliosis as a teenager. Through determination, discipline, and perseverance, she transformed what many viewed as an obstacle into a source of strength, ultimately returning to the stage and using her story to encourage others facing challenges of their own.
Throughout her journey in the Miss America Opportunity, Makalyn has become known for her heart for service, her commitment to mentorship, and her belief that every young person deserves someone who believes in them. As Miss Tennessee, she looks forward to traveling across the Volunteer State, inspiring others to live boldly, face challenges bravely, and make brilliant decisions that positively impact their communities.
