As a two-time first alternate at a state level MAO competition and a five-time local titleholder, I received over $50,000 in college scholarships which I used in obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Economics and Finance, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in Economics. The scholarships I obtained through MAO assisted me in obtaining a doctoral degree and ten years of higher education debt free. My participation in local and state competitions also equipped me with the skills of public speaking, professionalism, mentoring, civic engagement, and community service which I currently use on a daily basis in my work as an Associate Professor of Economics at Union University.”
